Who we are
Kyle Pipkins
I moved to Lake Anna in 2025 and built Lake Anna Fishing Experiences around a simple idea: make it easier for people to enjoy fishing at the lake without having to deal with all the setup, guesswork, and hassle.
I started bass fishing in 2016 and quickly learned how much time, money, and effort it takes to really figure it out. After thousands of hours on the water and tens of thousands of dollars spent learning gear, tackle, rigging, and seasonal patterns, I’ve come to genuinely enjoy the part that most people don’t want to deal with. I like rigging rods, picking baits, matching setups to conditions, and helping people get on fish without having to sort through all of it themselves.
Lake Anna Fishing Experiences is built for two kinds of people: those who just want to catch fish without the hassle, and those who love fishing but don’t want to pack gear for a trip and appreciate having someone else handle the setup for them. If that sounds like you, send us a note and we’ll be happy to help.

I grew up fishing Northern Virginia, mostly on local ponds, and spent years learning how to find and catch fish in pressured water. From there, I moved into jon boat tournaments on the Occoquan Reservoir, where I regularly finished in top money spots and built a strong competitive foundation.
In 2025, I began fishing at the pro level and had multiple top-10 finishes, including winning the BFL Regional on the James River. I’m especially proficient with LiveScope and enjoy helping newer anglers understand how to use forward-facing sonar in a practical way that builds confidence and helps them catch more fish.
I bring both high-level tournament experience and a teaching mindset, which makes guided trips a great fit for anglers who want to learn, improve, and get more out of their time on the water.
