  • That’s not a problem - the dock fishing rentals come with instructional content and everything you need. It’s made for anglers of any experience level.

  • Yes - a valid Virginia freshwater fishing license is required to fish Lake Anna. This includes fishing on the private side. Visit: https://dwr.virginia.gov/licenses/

  • Dock fishing works all around Lake Anna depending on the season. It is most productive and easiest on the hot (private) side of Lake Anna. Let us know where you’re staying and we’ll let you know if your location is a good fit.

  • Fish love to relate to docks at Lake Anna. The most common fish you’ll catch will be largemouth bass, crappie, and bluegill.

  • If you need to cancel or adjust your plans, just reach out as early as possible and we’ll work with you. We prepare your rental equipment in the days ahead of your visit. Any cancellations within 24 hours will not be refunded.

  • We will drop off your equipment the day of your check-in by the front door of your home.

  • Simply leave it where you found it on the day of your departure and we’ll be by to pick it up that day.

  • Let us know what happened and we’ll work with you on the details. We do not take a security deposit and generally understand mistakes happen and most people will do the right thing.

  • The price is for one or two persons. We can accommodate a third person if requested, particularly if two are children.

  • Everything you need to fish will be included in the trip. You’ll want to bring sunscreen, layered clothing, beverages, snacks/lunch, and normal things you’d take for any day on the water.

  • We operate in the rain and wind, but will cancel if conditions become unsafe (sustained high winds, heavy rain, or lightning). We will make an effort to schedule you for another date. If we are unable to accommodate rescheduling we will issue a full refund.

  • If you need to cancel or adjust your plans, just reach out as early as possible and we’ll work with you. We prepare for guided trips a few days ahead of time and will retain your deposit if cancellation occurs within 3 days for non-weather related reasons.

  • We will meet at one of the local marinas, usually Sturgeon Creek or Anna Point. The exact time and location will be determined within a few days of your trip and will be based on safe light or your specific goals.
